Percy Adopted July 2025!

Percy is a 9 month old, exuberant, engaged, curious pup with a verve for attention. He’s gentle and tolerant and will be an excellent match with a family who speaks his language. Percy shares toys (and enjoys running after and pouncing on balls!) and food. While he’s a little vague on his name, he learned how to sit on command in less than half an hour. Percy responds to kind, patient, and consistent communication and learns quickly. He’s very motivated to learn, and it can be expected that he’d pick up obedience training quickly. He’d likely do well with agility training to engage both his mind and body. Percy is great with gentle restraint (a gentle leader is recommended for leash walks), and he permits handling and manipulation of sensitive areas like his mouth, ears, paws, prepuce, and butt, which will make administering medications a breeze if and when he ever needs them, provided continued positive reinforcement is provided during handling and training. He’s a company pup who prefers to be in the thick of things and would prefer not to be crated or confined away from his people. While this may change with time, stability, and training, a family should be aware that his happy place is with the family. Currently, Percy does mount/hump persistently, but this is expected to be remedied with neutering (which CSRNE will have done asap) and time. Percy is a great dog and will make an impactful addition to the right family.
