  IN LOVING MEMORY...

This page is dedicated to CSRNE Rescues who have blessed us with their wigglebutts, their sweet presence, and their constant kisses.

Each one has touched our hearts in different ways. They have gone on to the Rainbow Bridge to become healthy again.

Rainbow Bridge Gates

Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

Heart In Memory:  Scooby, His handsome face and quirky ways will be missed by all who loved him.

Heart In Memory:  In memory of our friend Honey.  Love, Mabel and Emma.

   Joey at home

Joey was a survivor. We hoped that he was the cocker with nine lives and that he would live well into the new millennium. Now this most precious of cockers was gone, this dog who gave his name to CSRNE's Joey FundRead More...

Bogey: Some pictures of Bogey and Callie (aka Sophie when adopted) who came about 5 years ago.  Bogey left me on Wednesday, and Callie and I sorely miss him.  I was scared to have a boy dog but I have never had such a sweet, loving, friendly little pup, all he ever wanted was to be hugged and patted.  I miss so much, that constantly wagging tail of his, that greeted, from the top of HIS wall, every person walking by my house.  He constantly watched over Callie and rarely left her side, so much so that when he sat next to her it was often ON her, to which she responded with a little growl.

Sadie: My beloved Sadie came here in August of 2001 – she was rescued from a neglectful home. She laid her head on my shoulder and we were automatically bonded. Through the years all I can think of to describe her is ‘perfect’.  She took me on as her person and never let go. Soft, sweet, extra smart, and devoted to me to a point of being ferocious to a stranger. I gave her all I possibly could. She had vacations and birthday parties and special hug and scratch the belly sessions. I work at home and was able to devote many hours to her attention.   She had periodic wellness checks with her vet Dr. Robert Shurtleff and was a ball of healthy energy.  Read more...

CodyCody the Cocker, aka Buster Brown, died on February 9th after a short illness. He was 14 years old and is sorely missed by Nancy, his nanny Barbara, and his best friends Marilyn and Linda. He accompanied Nancy everywhere from the day she adopted him from CSRNE. He lived a pampered lifestyle, had his own nanny, and enjoyed nursery tea every afternoon. He rowed in an ocean shell with his best friend Marilyn, flew in a private plane to stay with friends in Vermont every summer, shopped at Radio Shack and Target, and even attended meetings at town hall.  Read more...

Jake & Jessie
Jake, you left us much to early a year and a half ago but not a day went by that we didn't think of you. Jessie, you helped us grieve even as you grieved  for your brother. Now you're gone to be with Jake. I hope you both know how loved you are. Our house is no longer a home without you.
