  IN LOVING MEMORY...

This page is dedicated to CSRNE Rescues who have blessed us with their wigglebutts, their sweet presence, and their constant kisses.

Each one has touched our hearts in different ways. They have gone on to the Rainbow Bridge to become healthy again.

Rainbow Bridge Gates

Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge...

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them; who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

Heart In Memory:  Scooby, His handsome face and quirky ways will be missed by all who loved him.

Heart In Memory:  In memory of our friend Honey.  Love, Mabel and Emma.

Joey at home

Joey was a survivor. We hoped that he was the cocker with nine lives and that he would live well into the new millennium. Now this most precious of cockers was gone, this dog who gave his name to CSRNE's Joey FundRead More...

Biskit   We adopted Biskit in March of 2005.  He was a sweet 9 year old Cocker Spaniel with much love to give.  He started with a tumor shortlyafter we got him and it progressively got worse until it grew out of control and it was removed in June of 2007.  He was given a new lease on life, until recently when he began falling down stairs, could not walk, could no longer see anything and depended on his nose for finding his way around.  He was always in pain no matter what we did and finally after not being able to bear watching him in so much pain, I contacted the vets at DWAH.

Kirby  It is with deep sadness I write to tell you that my sweet boy Kirby has passed on to eternal rest. In September he was diagnosed with cancer, and unfortunately it was too far advanced.  Kirby (formally known as 'Poppsie') was adopted in November 1997 from Shagg Bark Kennels in Willington, CT. From the moment I brought him home he brought me such love and happiness. My life will be forever changed by his never-ending love. My last promise to him was when I was ready, I would go back to Cocker Rescue and do for another little dog what I did for him. In time I hope to be back looking to adopt another little bundle of joy.
Thank you for making it possible for Kirby to have blessed my life and for me to have given him a wonderful life.

Lucy  With a broken heart. I have to tell you that Lucy passed away on  Jan. 17,2008. She had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure in June of last year. She had a massive seizure yesterday, and that made her worse. We adopted Lucy Oct. 13, 1997; she was almost 5 at the time. She had a wonderful life with us. She was my best friend. I loved her with everything I have. She will be truly missed.

Crystal We adopted Crystal in 2002 at the age of 11. What a feisty little thing she was and showed us how it was going to be. She was in charge. She was a true Princess so sweet, so loving and stern in what she wanted. So we gave in and her wish was our command and we spoiled her and she deserved it. .   Read More...
