HAPPY TALES!
CSRNE
Cockers happy at last in their forever home!
Happy adoptions
and successful placements are what CSRNE volunteers and the
rescue community work towards. When a Cocker Spaniel finds a responsible,
loving home, it's very exciting and rewarding. These happy endings
should be shared and celebrated
There is one thing that makes us sad. A lot of
our friends are still at the CSRNE foster homes and they
really want a home of their own. Please take a minute to look at
their pictures and adopt one of them. You will not be sorry as they
will be so grateful that they will give you tons of love and
affection in return. CSRNE does not have enough room for all the
Cockers in shelters so if you adopt one of our friends, it will make
room for another Cocker.
The following
Cocker Spaniels have been adopted and are finally resting their
heads in their forever homes. We wish our families much happiness
and love with their new found family member.

site send a current photo and bio to

Garth:
This dear middle-aged cocker was found late on a
bitter cold night wandering in a parking lot. Even though he was
exhausted and cold, he greeted his rescuers with a friendly face
and a wagging tail. Garth had been neglected in the extreme.
There were polyps in both of his badly infected ears. He also
had infected gums, rotten teeth, and a cheery eye. Despite all
the discomfort Garth experienced, he just loved everyone he met
and never stopped wagging his little cocker bunny tail. Our vet
immediately sedated him and did a deep ear flush to clean out
all the debris in both his ears and he was put antibiotics and
Prednisone.

and requires both eye and ear medications daily. He also
requires medicated baths twice weekly until his skin is a bit
more under control. He is an absolute delight to live with and

Casey
is happy active
approx. 5 year old boy lived most of his life tied outside
but now he is just delighted with the freedom he has in the big
fenced yard at his foster mom's home. He loves looking for
chipmunks and watching the birds. Like many dogs that have been
tied out and ignored, Casey used
to play hide and seek when he is called. Now, after
patient training with his foster mom , he comes when he is
called.

Abby
- Little Miss Abby is 7 months old and she's all puppy! She
gives the term "high energy" new meaning. She's constantly on
the go-her foster Mom says she's in perpetual motion and always
looking for something new and exciting to investigate.
Unfortunately, on occasion, this can lead to chewing on a lovely
leather sandal. She must be watched at all times or put in her
crate when she can't be supervised.

Sallie's
story is a sad one and all too common. She was purchased
from a Kansas puppy mill by a Massachusetts Puppy Kennel and
sold to someone who shortly gave her away to a friend who then
abandoned her. She's barely a year old and already
experienced multiple confusing situations so it's not surprising
that she's very afraid to be left alone. She's fine as
long as someone is right near her but as soon as she's left on
her own, she yelps and cries continuously..

Seamus is a sweetheart and a
pleasure to have in our home. After losing our boy Kipper (
a cocker mix) in 2003 after 17 years we had decided no more
dogs. Well that didn't last long. We got Seamus in March of
2005 and we couldn't be happier. He is very content just
lying around and sleeping most of the time either on the
couch next to us or on my bed at night. Read More... |
