Baby

Baby

This 8 month old girl spent most of her life gated off in a small kitchen and is now making up for lost time! Baby is a dynamo! She loves to run very fast around and around the big fenced play yard. She's also at the chewing stage and needs to be monitored all the time or be put in a crate if people are not around.

Baby definitely has a "Top Dog" persona - if another cocker has a toy, she will run up and grab it away - she even does this with big dogs like a German shepherd!

She is full of puppy energy and loves to wrestle with another high energy dog (she could go to a home with a dog who would not challenge her top-dog personality).

Baby is the perfect example of why it is so important to socialize puppies to people, other dogs and the world right from the start. She would definitely benefit from puppy kindergarten and obedience training. She is also not 100% housebroken.

Her foster mom says that she's a good little cocker who loves to cuddle "but she's a lot of work!" Right now, Baby has two speeds, ON and OFF! She'll play hard for a while and then conk out for a nap or early bedtime.

Baby will need a big fenced yard and a patient owner who wants to do obedience and/or agility training with a young, active dog. She'll be a lot of fun in the right situation.
