Update: Teddy is now in foster care with a single woman who lives in a quiet home with no other pets. Teddy has been to see our vet and he said he's almost blind - he does see a bit around the periphery of his cornea. To avoid panic attacks when Teddy can't see or hear his foster mom she now wears a bell around her waist.
Teddy is now on a hamburger and rice diet to clear up his colitis.
Teddy just loves going for long walks where he can sniff and smell every scent on the wooded path. He still won't let his foster mom out of his limited sight but he is beginning to relax and enjoy laying in his bed right next to her. Teddy just needs time.
SOS!! 6 year-old Teddy needs a foster home NOW!
Teddy's owner loves him very much. When his owner had to go to the hospital, he boarded Teddy at a local kennel until he was able to get home again. Sadly, Teddy's devoted owner is now in hospice care and Teddy is at an animal shelter.
Teddy is so stressed and so upset that he has developed colitis and his nose is raw from pushing it through the chain link fence. Teddy just wants to go home!
Teddy is ordinarily a playful, affectionate cocker who was very attached to his owner. Right now he's an anxious, hyper cocker who needs a caring person and a quiet, structured home.
The shelter vet diagnosed Teddy with KCS (dry-eye), so he needs twice-daily eyedrops. He also diagnosed him with a facial nerve palsy.
CSRNE wants to get Teddy to a veterinary neurologist for a thorough exam but first and foremost he needs a quiet home where he can relax and become the happy cocker he once was.
Please call CSRNE at 603-547-3363 or email email@example.com if you're interested in fostering Teddy!
