Working on a committee is an immensely rewarding and fun experience!
It is exciting to share our ideas, talents and perspectives for a
great cause! We would be thrilled at your interest in joining our
committee for the 2008 11th Annual Joey Fund Auction for Cocker
Spaniel Rescue of New England!
Your involvement in the auction will
allow CSRNE to continue to provide medical expenses for the
many abandoned and homeless cockers that rely on us. CSRNE
strives to do the absolute best for these dogs, health care,
training, nurturing and rehabbing … whatever attention they need
before they can be adopted.
We
imagine you may have questions about what being on the Committee
involves and how much of your time has to be committed. That’s an
easy one to answer-- you may commit as much time as you want – no
pressure, no gimmicks. The Auction Committee usually meets once a
month. At meetings, we discuss the various parts of the auction,
new ideas and evaluate our progress. HOWEVER - Not all committee
members can attend all meetings. Volunteers that live far away CAN
make valuable contributions to the auction contacting us via e-mail
or phone or perhaps you would like to help setup or auction day?
As
a committee, our work for the auction includes: attendance,
invitations, the Joey t-shirt, donations, catalog, silent and live
auction, decorations, contests, raffles, Pampered Pets table, and
publicity…… As you can see, there is more than enough work to go
around. (We DO find time for a little fun!) So you see YOUR help
is needed everywhere!
We
are really looking forward to working with you on CSRNE’s
most profitable and exciting fundraiser! Rescue work is full of
emotional rewards, but the reality is, it is very expensive. We
would be grateful for your willingness to give your time to making
this Auction a success. It is a wonderfully gratifying experience
and, of course, it is, ALL FOR THE DOGS!!!!
